First Commissioning

Verified first-start SEMS workflow from power-on through network setup, device onboarding and measurement validation.

Purpose

This article documents the verified SEMS commissioning path that is visible in the current product UI and backend.

CyberSun SEMS commissioning flow
The public commissioning flow follows the current SEMS setup and validation sequence: power, connect, configure, add devices, verify measurements, then review alarms and hand over.

Before you begin

  • the controller is physically installed and powered;
  • you can log in to the local web interface;
  • IP plan, slave IDs and target device profiles are known;
  • the smart meter, inverter and BESS communication settings are available.

Current setup wizard flow

The currently inspected setup wizard uses the following steps:

  1. Welcome and board overview
  2. Site and locale
  3. Network interfaces
  4. System update
  5. Devices and systems
  6. Electricity plan
  7. Strategy and safety review
  8. Review and finish

These step names come from the current UI and backend-owned wizard definition.

The current SEMS settings area exposes the setup-wizard entry point together with site and board context used during commissioning.

Commissioning procedure

  1. Power on the SEMS controller.
  2. Connect to the web interface and log in.
  3. Open the setup wizard or the corresponding settings pages.
  4. Confirm site and locale settings.
  5. Review and apply network settings.
  6. Add the smart meter first.
  7. Add the PV inverter or hybrid inverter.
  8. Add the battery/BESS path where applicable.
  9. Verify communication status for each device.
  10. Confirm live measurements and sign/direction plausibility.
  11. Review alarms and event status.
  12. Save the configuration and capture a backup/support artifact where required by project procedure.

Expected result

At the end of first commissioning:

  • the controller is reachable on the intended network;
  • required devices have been created with the correct interface/profile;
  • live values are visible;
  • import/export and battery directions have been checked;
  • the site can move into monitored operation.

What this article does not claim

The current public evidence does not support a universal step-by-step field-device wiring procedure for every supported inverter, meter or battery family. Device-specific physical commissioning remains dependent on the reviewed vendor guide and approved CyberSun integration scope.
